Partner Terms for the Glotsmith Partner Program
Last updated: 06.11.2026
These Partner Terms form an agreement between you and Mihail Mihaylov (“Glotsmith”, “we”, “us” or “our”) about the Glotsmith partner program for tutors (the “Program”). They apply in addition to our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which continue to govern your use of the Glotsmith Service.
You accept these terms when you apply to the partner program. They take effect when we approve your application, which makes you a partner in the Program. We record the version you accepted and when.
1. Who can be a partner
- We have approved your application to the partner program.
- You teach a language to adults.
- You are at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement.
- You take part as an independent tutor or business. Joining does not make you our employee, agent or representative, and you may not act or speak on our behalf.
2. Your sign-up link
When we approve your application, we give you one personal sign-up link. When someone creates a new Glotsmith account through it, we record you as the tutor who referred them.
- Your link is for your own recommendations. Do not share it in a way that hides that it is yours, or that suggests it comes from us.
- Someone who already has a Glotsmith account does not become your referral by opening your link.
- Only one tutor can be credited with an account at a time.
3. Telling people about your link
Whenever you recommend Glotsmith with your link, say clearly that you may earn a commission, for example: “I may earn a commission if you subscribe through my link.”
- Describe Glotsmith accurately. Do not promise features it does not have or results it cannot guarantee.
- Do not send unsolicited messages to promote your link.
- Follow the advertising and consumer-protection rules that apply where you and the people you recommend to are.
4. Qualifying referrals
A referral qualifies when you referred the person before their first payment for a Glotsmith subscription, they pay for one, and they are credited to you in one of these ways:
- they created a new Glotsmith account through your link;
- they created a new Glotsmith account to copy a workbook you shared through Glotsmith; or
- we credited them to you after reviewing a claim that your link was missed (Section 6).
These do not qualify: your own accounts or accounts you control; people who were already paying subscribers before being credited to you, except as Section 6 allows for a missed link; fake accounts; and fraudulent or disputed transactions.
5. Commission
- You earn 20% of each qualifying subscription payment we collect from a qualifying referral, for as long as they keep paying and you remain a partner (Section 11). There is no one-year limit.
- The 20% is calculated on the amount actually collected after any discount, excluding tax such as VAT or sales tax, and minus any refund or chargeback. Payment-processing fees are not deducted.
- Monthly payments, each collected annual payment, and every renewal count.
- Nothing is earned for a period that was not paid for, for a free trial, or for a payment that fails.
- If a referral cancels, commission stops with their last paid period. If they subscribe again later, they stay credited to you and commission resumes on their new payments.
- If a payment is refunded or charged back after we have counted commission on it, we deduct that commission from your next payment. We never take money from your bank or PayPal account.
6. Missed links
If someone you referred created their account without your link, tell us at contact@glotsmith.com, with evidence that you referred them before their first payment. A short confirmation from them can support your claim. We review every claim. Your message starts the review; it does not move anyone to you by itself.
- If we approve a claim you made before the person's first payment, the normal commission rules apply from their first payment.
- If we approve a claim you made within 90 days after their first successful payment, commission applies to their qualifying payments from that first payment, and we add it to your next quarterly payment.
- We use the date you made the claim, not the date we approve it.
- For a claim made more than 90 days after their first payment, commission applies only to payments collected after we approve it.
- If two tutors claim the same person, we review the evidence and decide. Only one tutor is credited.
7. How you are paid
- We pay commission every quarter, within 30 days after the end of each calendar quarter, by bank transfer or PayPal.
- We charge subscriptions in US dollars, so commission is calculated and paid in US dollars.
- A balance below USD 25 is carried forward to the next quarter, except your final payment when your participation ends (Section 11).
- We will ask for your payment details separately and securely when you have a balance to be paid.
- You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn, and for any fee your own bank or PayPal charges you to receive a payment.
8. Your Scholar access
Your account gets six months of Scholar access at no cost, starting when we approve your application. After that, your Scholar access continues while at least two people credited to you have active paid subscriptions. If fewer than two do, we email you about a month before your Scholar access ends, with the date it ends. When it ends, unless you pay for a plan yourself, your account moves to the Free plan: nothing is charged, nothing is deleted, and the Free plan's limits apply. Scholar access comes back when two people credited to you have active paid subscriptions again.
One paying referral is enough to earn commission. The two-referral condition only decides whether your Scholar access continues.
9. The people you refer
Being credited with a referral gives you no access to that person's files, notes, vocabulary, activity or contact details, and we do not share them with you. We tell you only what you need to know about your referrals and your commission.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will tell you before a change takes effect and ask you to accept the new version to stay in the Program. Commission earned under an earlier version is paid under that version.
11. Leaving or ending the Program
- You can leave the Program at any time by telling us at contact@glotsmith.com.
- We can end your participation, or the Program, by giving you 30 days' notice.
- We can suspend or end your participation straight away if you break these terms, mislead people about Glotsmith, or are involved in fraud. Commission then stops: we pay any quarterly payment we had already approved, and no other commission.
- When your participation ends for any other reason, including when you delete your Glotsmith account, your sign-up link stops working and commission stops. We pay the commission you earned up to the day it ended with the next quarterly payment, whatever the amount, and none after.
- Your Glotsmith account itself continues under our Terms & Conditions. Any Scholar access left from your first six months stays until it ends.
12. Disagreements
If you disagree with a decision about a referral or a payment, write to us at contact@glotsmith.com and we will review it. These terms are governed by the same law, and disputes go to the same courts, as our Terms & Conditions.
